The contractual warranties and disclaimers that govern the Services are in **Section 10 of our Terms of Service**, and they are not repeated here. This page covers three things that sit outside the contract and that we think are worth saying plainly.
Identification is probabilistic
Our Services estimate who a website visitor is by matching signals against identity graphs. That is a probability, not a fact.
Do not treat an identification as verified information about a person. Do not use it to make a decision about someone that would require accurate information about them, and never for credit, employment, housing, insurance or any other purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or an analogous law. The Services are not a consumer report.
Match rates, resolution rates and coverage figures we publish, including any in marketing material, on this website or in a proposal, are estimates based on our own observations. They are not commitments and your results will differ.
Nothing here is legal or compliance advice
We publish material about privacy law, consent and data protection, because it is the subject our product operates in. It is general information written by people who build software, not lawyers, and it is not legal advice. It may be wrong for your jurisdiction, out of date, or inapplicable to your circumstances. Take advice from a qualified lawyer before acting on any of it.
Using our compliance features does not by itself make you compliant. We ship a consent management platform, data subject request forms and related tooling. Those are instruments you can use to meet your own obligations. They do not transfer those obligations to us, they do not assess whether your configuration is lawful, and deploying them is not a defence. You remain the controller of the processing you carry out on your own site, and Section 5 of the Terms sets out what that requires of you.
